Evidence-Based Practice Resources for Social Work

 

Evidence-Based Practice (EBP):   "The use of the best available scientific knowledge…as one basis for guiding professional interventions and effective therapies, combined with professional ethical standards, clinical judgment, and practice wisdom." -- The Social Work Dictionary (5th ed.).


Research Databases: The research databases are resources for which the Case Libraries pay in order for students to have access to quality research. The entire suite of databases can be accessed at: http://library.case.edu/databases/rdbindex.aspx. The databases listed below are appropriate starting points for beginning research in evidence-based practice.
