Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a program that allows you to connect to the Case
network as though you were using a computer on campus. All information services available
through the Harris Library are available from the comfort of your home (or through the campus
wireless connection) when you connect in VPN with your CASE ID and password.
NOTE: VPN will not work with many dial-up providers including: AOL, MSN, Compuserve,
NetZero, BlueLight, Juno and possibly others. Even if VPN works with your dial-up provider,
your connection speed will be greatly reduced. A broadband internet connection is highly
recommended for VPN use.
For additional information about VPN (including download and installation instructions) go
to
Case Help: VPN (Virtual Private Networking)
web page. Print out the directions before you begin. For assistance with VPN installation
or troubleshooting
call (216) 368-HELP. This is the
Case ITS HELP DESK
