Library Catalog: Exporting Marked Records
To print more than one record at a time from the Case Library Catalog, you will need to mark, save and then export the titles. You can only do this from the browsing screen of the Library Catalog which displays a list of underlined titles and their publication date.
To mark a record, click on the box to the left of each of the titles you want to print.
To save the marked records, click on the Save Marked Records button at the bottom of each page. You must mark and save records on each page that you view.
You can continue to look at more titles on the list by clicking on the Next Page button.
When you are done marking all the titles of interest to you, click on the Export Saved Records button at the top (or bottom) of the screen.
You will then get a screen that lets you choose where you want the list sent. The options are:
Select this option if you want to e-mail the citations to yourself or someone else. Then just enter the full e-mail address in the open box and click on the Submit button.
Select this option if you want to print the records immediately. Then click on the Submit button. You will see a display of the records you selected. To print out the list, go to the File menu and choose Print.
Select this option if you want to download the records. Then click on the Submit button. You will get the following message: “You have chosen to download a file from this location” and be asked if you want to open the file or save it. Make sure that “Save this file to disk” is chosen. Press OK. You will then get a “Save as” screen. Choose whether you want to save the document to a flash drive, floppy disk, or to your computer. (Most libraries will only let you save to a flash drive or floppy disk). Type in a name for your file and then click Save. Once your citations have been downloaded, you will get the following message: “Download complete.”
NOTE: No matter which option you choose, remember to click on the Clear Saved Records button after exporting your marked records. If you do not do this, the old marked records will continue to be included in your list of saved titles.
