SAMI Matters
The newsletter of the Ohio Substance Abuse and Mental Illness Coordinating Center of
Excellence (Ohio SAMI CCOE), a "technical-assistance organization that promotes knowledge
development and the implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for the treatment and
recovery of people with mental illness." The Ohio SAMI CCOE is "a program of the Center for
Evidence-Based Practices at Case Western Reserve University, which is a partnership between the
Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case and the Department of Psychiatry at the Case
School of Medicine. The partnership is in collaboration with and supported by the Ohio Department
