About The Computer Lab

The Computer Lab in the Lillian F. & Milford J. Harris Library is available for use by MSASS students, faculty, staff and affiliates.

The Computer Lab currently provides 16 computers plus a technician's machine. The Lab computers are Dell Pentium IV's, 8-Optiplex 745's, and 8-Dimension 4500's, CD-RW's (CD burning capabilities, Front Mounted USB Ports, Digital Video Cards, 17" Monitors, Windows XP Professional and Office 2003 Professional.  All machines are connected through the Microsoft network to a printer. A special feature of the lab is the Video Projection equipment. The Lab technicians provide services to the lab, train lab users, and provide Help Desk services, which is the first source of contact for faculty and staff when they have problems with their office computers.

PLEASE NOTE:
Public printing done in MSASS, in the Harris Library, or in the PC Lab, is charged the same as photocopies. All printing is done through the copy machine on the lower level of the Harris Library and requires use of cash or your "CaseOneCard" card to release the print job.

The Harris Library Computer Lab Technicians are available to help with Computer Lab related problems. Online help is available on the FAQ & Help web page .

Computer users are required to log on to the Microsoft Network for authorization. The Lab technician on duty is available to assist first time users in the log on procedure. Please remember to log out before leaving the computer.
