Blackboard is the online course management system that is used
at Case Western Reserve University. The CWRU Blackboard site is
http://blackboard.case.edu/
. New faculty and adjuncts must activate their
Case User ID
before attempting to log into Blackboard. Once an account is activated, it may
take up to twenty-four hours before you will be able to access Blackboard.
The current version on campus is Blackboard 8. If you wish to learn more about Blackboard,

(ITAC) Department offers classes and documentation on using Blackboard through the
CaseLearns
program.
Individual instruction sessions for faculty can also be scheduled with the
Harris Library Librarians
. We request appointments be made six weeks before the start of a new semester. Specific

Blackboard Podcasting
The new Podcast Tool allows instructors to create podcasts for their classes and deliver them to
their students. Students can either download and listen to individual files or subscribe to
the podcast using iTunes or another podcasting client. The following websites have detailed
