Entrance Loan Counseling
Students borrowing for the first time at MSASS must complete entrance counseling prior to receiving any loan funds. You will receive information about entrance loan counseling and completing the master promissory notes once your financial aid file is complete and you receive an "official" award letter from the Office of University Financial. It is only necessary to do this once during the course of your education at CWRU.  Please do not complete Entrance Counseling before you apply for financial aid.

If a student does not wish to complete Entrance Counseling on-line, he or she may contact the Office of External Loans in Yost Hall, Room 427A (Phone 216-368-5056) to schedule a time to attend a Counseling Session in person.
Entrance Counseling covers many topics, including:
  • Loan Terms
  • Borrower Rights and Responsibilities
  • Deferment Options
  • Consequences of Failure to Repay Loans

Exit Loan Counseling

  • Loan Terms

  • Deferment Options
  • Repayment Plans
