Full Time Students


Scholarships


To renew your scholarship, you must complete the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA link is http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. A link is also provided on the MSASS website: http://msass.cwru.edu/admissions/aid.html.  To authorize release of your FAFSA information to Case Western Reserve University, the Mandel Federal School Code is E00084.

In addition to completing the FAFSA, you must complete the online 2009-2010 Case Financial Aid Application.  This will be available on briefCase by the end of February.

The Office of University Financial Aid will begin processing financial aid for graduate students May 1, 2009.  If additional information is needed, this office will contact you by email.  Please check your Case email regularly.  You can view all your financial activity by logging into SIS.  From SIS you can also access briefCase to check on the status of your 2009-2010 financial aid application.  Please note the following:

1.    The Memo of Assistance (M.O.A.) is a form that each graduate and professional school completes.  If you are registered for summer and fall, the Mandel School will update the MOA by the end of April. 

2.    Summer tuition is $15,650 for 12-16 credit hours.  A per credit hour charge of $1,044 applies for credit hours in excess of 16.  For fall 2009 and spring 2010, tuition is increased to $16,500 per semester or $1,100 per credit hour, an increase of 4.02%.  For 2009-2010, the technology fee is included in the tuition rate.

3.    Summer tuition bills will be emailed after July 1, 2009 and late fees will be assessed after July 15, 2009.

4.    No refund advances will be issued for summer unless your financial aid file is complete and you have been awarded grants and loans that exceed tuition and fees.

5.    12- month students will not receive their stipend if their financial aid file is not complete by May 8, 2009.

Stipends


Time sheets must accurately reflect the student's field placement hours and be signed by the student and Field Instructor and returned to the Financial Aid Office monthly.  Failure to do so may impact the student's receipt of work study funds.  Field Time Sheet Form.

Payroll Information


Students can view personal payroll information at http://www.case.edu/erp/hcm.  You will need your Case User ID and email password to access your account.


Intensive Weekend Students

1.    Intensive Weekend students graduating in August are not eligible for summer federal and school financial aid.  It is recommended that you use all or part of your refunds from previous semesters.  If you need additional financial aid assistance, you may want to consider borrowing from the Federal GradPlus or Custom Signature loan, which are loans that require a credit check.  Exception: Stokes Fellows and agency sponsored students will receive MSASS funding for summer.

2.    MSASS scholarships will be awarded for fall 08 and spring 09 only.  Note: Stokes Fellows and agency sponsored students will receive MSASS funding for the entire academic year (summer 08, fall 08 and spring 09, if you are registered).

3.    The Memo of Assistance (M.O.A.) is a form that each graduate and professional school  we know it). MOAs for intensive weekend students will be updated by the end of May, after you have registered for summer and fall classes.

4.    Federal Stafford, Federal GradPlus and private loans will be processed for the entire academic year.

5.    Intensive weekend students will pay the current tuition rate of $1,044 per credit hour for summer semester. For fall 2009 and spring 2010, you should expect a tuition increase of approximately 5%.

6.    Summer tuition bills will be emailed after July 1, 2009 and late fees will be assessed after July 15, 2009.

7.    No refund advances will be issued for summer unless your financial aid file is complete and you have been awarded grants and loans that exceed tuition and fees.
