How I chose this profession:
My choice of the social work profession is a result of my personal belief put into practice.
I was raised with a faith perspective that focused on social justice issues. Later, activist
involvement for civil rights and women's rights sharpened my understanding of and commitment to the
multiple issues of social justice that challenge us in practice today.
