Emily Pensky - Staff, Children and Families |
I have a bachelor's in psychology from CWRU and a master's in human develoment (with a focus on
early childhood) from Penn State University. I have over ten years experience in both clinical work
(case management and clinical therapist) with children and families and applied research
(conducting developmental assessments on young children for Dr. Lynn Singer's Project Newborn). I
am currently entering my second year in the M.S.S.A. graduate program at the Mandel School, with a
concentration on children, youth and families. My most recent work experience has been as an
assessment and adolescent social worker at a small, private psychiatric hospital. My goals after
graduation include assessment/treatment of early childhood mental health issues and
designing/implementing comprehensive school-based after-school programs for at-risk children.
