Becky Bernstein - Staff, Children and Families |
My name is Becky Bernstein and I am a graduate of Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case
Western Reserve University. My concentration was focused on children, youth, and families with
relevant coursework in family systems theories and interventions, child abuse and neglect,
community practice, and child mental health. My second year placement was with the PARTners
project where I provided intervention services for parents and children. My first year field
was with Bellefaire Jewish Children's Bureau in the school based counseling program. I
provided diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and mental health counseling services within
the Cleveland Municipal School District. My undergraduate degree came from Ohio University,
where I majored in social work. My senior year placement at Ohio University was with the
School Outreach Prevention Program provided by the Washington County Children's Services
agency. I provided prevention services in two rural elementary schools, which included group
work, individual/family case management, and home visitation services.
