Career Management Workshops
Alumni can attend workshops that specifically focus on career management, resume writing and
leisure planning for the seasoned professional. The workshops are particularly useful to alumni who
are interested in reflecting on their own careers within the safety of the MSASS community and in
developing action plans to address the issue of generativity. Workshop dates will be announced on
the Student Activities and Programs web site. Workshops are generally held November through June.
Career Fair
Alumni are also invited to participate in the annual Career Fair, held in March, either as
employers or as job seekers. See the
Career Fair web page for
details.
Job Listings
All job openings that are received by the Office are
posted on the web site. Jobs
are posted as they are received and remain posted for six weeks. The Office only removes a job
during the six weeks if an employer informs us that the position has been filled.
Fellowships and internships are also posted as received. Many are too lengthy to retype
efficiently; students may drop in at Students Services and ask Connie Lewis for the binder in which
the full descriptions are kept. An excellent place to find fellowships is through our web
link:
Internships &
Fellowships.
Job Search Counseling
Job search counseling is available to alumni to assist in identifying aptitudes, interests,
values, workplace preferences, and career goals. The objective is to identify those areas of
greatest need and to begin working with the alumni based upon those needs.
From December through July, appointments may be made directly with Debra Fink in Career
Development and Management at MSASS: dsf2@case.edu or (216) 368-2827. From August through
November, apointments must be made at the main campus Career Center: (216) 368-4446. Career
assessments are also available throughout the year for a nominal fee through the Career Center.
