Why Social Work?
I feel a sense of social responsibility. I feel like, if someone’s going to change it, it has to be me. I always wanted to help people, to work in direct service – but the social justice aspect [of social work] can’t be ignored. |

It’s way different than suburban living. Favorite thing about campus: The architecture is nice. Campus makes Cleveland feel more accessible. Adoption Health Service, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio Cystic Fibrosis Center at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, Cleveland, Ohio Current Employment: Social Worker, Lighthouse Youth Services, New Beginnings Nature of the work: Individual and group therapy with adolescent girls in a community-based residential setting. Future plans: Continue learning more about my new position and advancing my knowledge and experience with this population. I am also working towards achieving my LISW. |
