My Name is Martin Mosima. I am from Botswana, Southern Africa. I came here to study my master's
in medical social work because before I came here I was working in a hospital. I had a general
degree, so I was obliged to come over here and pursue my master's in medical social work.
When I came here I really got depressed because there are various programs or concentrations
that are offered here, and I found some aspects to be too American. But I was given the opportunity
to design my own curriculum plan that really suits my situation at home. So, I am now doing medical
social work with management. My intention also is to join the nonprofit organizations to help set
up some agencies for the various social problems that are experienced in my country. And hopefully
I'll join the university and come back here to pursue my Ph.D. because I like MSASS. It is a very
good school.
Oooh! The weather here is just really bad. I first experienced snow here and my country is very
warm. But after a while, I have adjusted and I like the weather.
I really feel comfortable here because the staff, faculty and students are very very supportive
and Clevelanders' in general are very good people. Thank you!
